The procurement course has had a revamp to now include the practical elements of inviting quotes, producing specifications and tender documentation, achieving competition and value for money.

Course Description
This session introduces the new rules of the Procurement Act 2023, which came into force on 24 February 2025 and replace the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The session covers the basics of procurement for local councils – inviting quotes, producing specifications and tender documentation, achieving competition and value for money.

This is an interactive course and offers the opportunity to network with Clerks and Councillors from Councils across England and Wales to share best practice and ideas.

Introduction to VAT course - FREE!

The Parkinson Partnership LLP is celebrating our 10 years in business by announcing that places on our Introduction to VAT course will be FREE for 6 months.

Course Description
For clerks, finance staff and councillors from councils that are not VAT registered, but reclaim VAT on Form VAT126.

This session explains how VAT affects local councils. Essential for any council contemplating major building projects.
