National Association of Local Councils 

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) represents the interests of over 10,000 parish and local councils at national level. Through a Service Level Agreement with County Associations, local councils have access to its services.


Federation of East Midlands Associations of Local Councils (FEMALC)

FEMALC is a constituted grouping of County Associations comprising Derbyshire, East Riding and North Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, and Nottinghamshire.

Together, these Associations represent over one thousand town and parish councils throughout the region with an electorate of nearly 1.5 million.

FEMALC was created in 1999 to represent the parish council network at a regional level and it currently has two representatives on East Midlands Councils (EMC).

FEMALC meetings, which are held quarterly in Anstey, Leicestershire, are attended by the Chair, National Council Representative and Chief Executive.
