The Scheme acts as the council’s key point of contact and advocate for environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and climate resilience. This voluntary role supports the council in identifying, promoting, and coordinating local action on climate and nature.

Join West Northamptonshire Climate and Nature Partnership as a Volunteer

Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference while connecting with knowledgeable and enthusiastic people? The West Northamptonshire Climate and Nature Partnership (WNCAN) is bringing together a growing network of individuals and organisations committed to protecting our climate, enhancing nature, and strengthening community wellbeing. Through collaboration with local councils, community groups, businesses, and residents, WNCAN is turning shared ambition into practical, coordinated action across the region.

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support projects such as organising events, sharing resources and case studies, building an online library, and helping deliver the annual Climate and Nature Summit. It’s a chance to develop new skills, build confidence, and work alongside like-minded people—whether you’re looking to gain experience for your CV or simply want to get actively involved in positive local change.
