This course focuses on the management and operation of allotments in compliance with all associated legislation. This is a basic course aimed at clerks who have not attended allotment training before.

Please note  the course is open to all county associations and will therefore have clerks and councillors not from Northamptonshire in attendance. We hope that this will allow for this course to be delivered more often and throughout the year.

John Kilcoyne


John Kilcoyne is Deputy CEO of Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils since 2022. Prior to this he was training officer with Lincolnshire Association of Local Councils. He is CiLCA qualified and a recognised CiLCA trainer. He was a parish councillor between 2009 and 2022, including several years as council chair, and clerk to a council from 2018 to 2022. Previous experience includes over thirty years as a teacher, mostly in primary and special education.
