You'll learn how to tailor your communication strategies to resonate with younger audiences, both online and offline, and how to build lasting partnerships with youth-focused organisations that can support your engagement efforts.

Whether you're looking to improve youth participation in local decision-making, develop youth-led initiatives, or simply open up new channels of dialogue, this course will provide the tools and inspiration to make it happen. 

In this session we explore:

• Defining “young people” in the context of local governance

• Understanding the priorities and concerns of younger residents

• Effective communication strategies for online and offline engagement

• Building partnerships with schools, youth clubs, and other youth-focused organisations

• Examples of successful youth engagement initiatives from other councils

This is an interactive course  and offers the opportunity to network with Clerks, Officers and Councillors from Councils across England and Wales to share best practice and ideas.
Please note :  the course is open to all county associations and will therefore have clerks and councillors not from Northamptonshire in attendance. We hope that this will allow for this course to be delivered more often and throughout the year.
